Good news everyone! Our paper Non-symmetric Pauli spin blockade in a silicon double quantum dot just got published!!

The state of spin qubits is often readout by Pauli Spin Blockade (PSB). Spin-orbit is a typical mechanism that can lift the PSB mechanism, leading to potential measurement errors. In Si, however, spin-orbit is expected to be small for electrons. In this work, we showed PSB measurements in a double quantum dot for different dot occupations, finding that, for some specific transitions, PSB is unexpectedly lifted. The interplay between spin-orbit coupling, valley splitting, interfacial disorder, and electron-electron interactions seems to be the main lifting mechanisms in this case.
